Hello people, even if the title suggest a whining thread it's really not the case (i play gangplank myself). it's more a request for informations really on the mechanisms, here's my question: why is it so random ?
2 examples to explain, the first one is me playing gangplank the 2nd is about a guy playing against me.
So when i played gangplank, i popped my ulti on a group of 4 ppl and i managed to hit only one of them (tristana) who got away just after by jumping.. D&d 5e dmg treasure tables 2017. the rest of them passed without a problem it was at mid game after lvl 11 can't remember precisely (though below lvl 16).
The second one i was laning against one in my lane he had a few AP (about 30 without items what so ever a part from sorcerer's boots, ye i know it's weird) and i was both surprised and amused to see that when he popped ulti on me, after i tower dived him and died, the dmg output reached 683 with the ulti alone (the rest of the dmg came from the tower) and he was lvl 7 !
So tell me what kind of ulti is based on pure luck ? it really breaks the spirit of the game .. like why not having all ulti's based on some sort of loto , one time u deal 1000 dmg the next time ur ulti is completely gone to waste.

Can Gangplank's ultimate be reliably controlled? Ask Question Asked 6 years, 8 months ago. Active 6 years, 8 months ago. Viewed 2k times 5. So I am playing pretty actively with Gangplank the last time (mainly because of his Remove Scurvy ability). But i have noticed that his ult is pretty unreliable. The Dmg is random, the slow is not.

Dimethylglycine (DMG) is a derivative of the amino acidglycine with the structural formula (CH3)2NCH2COOH. It can be found in beans and liver. It can be formed from trimethylglycine upon the loss of one of its methyl groups. It is also a byproduct of the metabolism of choline.
When DMG was first discovered, it was referred to as Vitamin B16, but, unlike true B vitamins, deficiency of DMG in the diet does not lead to any ill-effects and it is synthesized by the human body in the citric acid (or Krebs) cycle meaning it does not meet the definition of a vitamin.
Uses[edit]
Dimethylglycine has been suggested for use as an athletic performance enhancer, immunostimulant, and a treatment for autism, epilepsy, or mitochondrial disease.[2] There is no evidence that dimethylglycine is effective for treating mitochondrial disease.[3] Published studies on the subject have shown little to no difference between DMG treatment and placebo in autism spectrum disorders.[4][5]
Biological activity[edit]
Dimethylglycine has been found to act as an agonist of the glycine site of the NMDA receptor.[6]

Preparation[edit]
This compound is commercially available as the free form amino acid, and as the hydrochloride salt [2491-06-7 ]. DMG may be prepared by the alkylation of glycine via the Eschweiler–Clarke reaction. In this reaction, glycine is treated with aqueous formaldehyde in formic acid that serves as both solvent and reductant. Hydrochloric acid is added thereafter to give the hydrochloride salt. The free amino acid may have been obtained by neutralization of the acid salt, which has been performed with silver oxide.[7]
